The All on 4 / All on 6 technique is an innovative life changing treatment that offers patients who have lost most or all of their teeth, a fixed dental prosthesis in just one day!
This treatment is best suited to patients who have had several missing teeth or all their teeth missing in addition to those who wish to replace their traditional dentures with a fixed alternative.
The prosthetic support consisting of a fixed, full arch on four or six dental implants to allow us to provide a natural looking fixed set of replacement teeth (albeit provisional) in a day.
Existing teeth in the required jaw are removed under sedation in a single surgical visit and 4 or 6 dental implants (depending on what is required) are placed immediately.
A full arch provisional acrylic bridge is then attached to the Implants – and your smile is restored on the same day.
This provisional bridge remains in place for 3-4 months whilst the implants underneath them fully integrate with your jaw bone. Once this has occurred it is replaced with a definitive bridge for the long term.
What to expect from treatment with All-on-Four / All-on-Six Same Day Teeth?
Once we have established that you are suited to treatment, we can proceed by taking impressions of your jaws which will be the basis for the design and planning of your custom-made bridge. At a subsequent appointment, your implants will be surgically placed into your jawbone usually under sedation and where possible a provisional fixed bridge will be fabricated and attached to these implants and left for a period of 3 months so your implants can fuse with your jawbone. After this period we would fabricate your definitive Custom-made bridge.
The benefits of treatment with All-on-Four / All-on-Six Same Day Teeth:
- In contrast to the traditional full arch process, All-on-four / six dental implants require less appointments.
- You will have a fixed bridge on the day of surgery in most cases so the transition between losing your own teeth and moving to implants is a seamless one without the need for a removable denture in most cases.
- Restore confidence in your smile.
- Restore your desire to smile in front of others.
